Raspberry Sauce

Raspberry Sauce

It’s hard to believe that my daughter is turning 12 tomorrow. She’s growing up so fast and has become such a sweet, kind, lovely, and empathetic girl. I am a very proud mom! Birthday meals are a big tradition in our family. Tomorrow she has requested chocolate chip pancakes with raspberry sauce for her birthday breakfast. The sauce takes 10 minutes to make and tastes amazing. It’s a little bit sweet and sour and a whole love of YUMMY! I have a feeling this sauce will be extra delicious on top of chocolate chip pancakes and will make my birthday girl very happy! This raspberry sauce is also wonderful on waffles, crepes, French toast, and ice cream too.

Raspberry Sauce

Mix the cornstarch with the water until well combined. Pour the water mixture, raspberries, sugar, and lemon zest into a pan over medium heat. Cook, stirring occasionally for 4-5 minutes or until thickened and the raspberries are bursting. Remove from the heat and let cool. Spoon over your waffles, pancakes, French toast, crepes, or ice cream. Enjoy.
