Banana, Chocolate, and Peanut Butter Milkshake

Banana, Chocolate, and Peanut Butter Milkshake

I have a feeling I will be making this milkshake whenever I have over ripe bananas to use up. I decided to slice up the ripe bananas and freeze them for a few hours. When my kids came home from school, I melted some chocolate chips and mixed the chocolate with peanut butter before adding it to ice cold milk. I blended for a few seconds until combined then I added the frozen banana slices and blended until creamy. This made the perfect milkshake and much healthier than regular ones. My kids were THRILLED with these shakes and drank them up in minutes.

Peel and slice the bananas and place on a plate. Put into the freezer for at least 3 hours.

Place the chocolate chips into a glass bowl and put into the microwave. Cook for 30 seconds then stir; cook for an additional 15 seconds then stir; cook for an additional 10 or so seconds until melted. Don’t overcook! Once the chocolate is melted add the peanut butter and stir until well combined. Pour the mixture into the milk along with the vanilla. Blend using an immersion blender for 30 seconds or until well combined. Add the frozen sliced bananas and blend with an immersion blender until creamy and smooth. Serve immediately. Enjoy.

  5. Mark’s been consuming a lot of milkshakes, because I’m trying to keep weight on him, since he’s playing football this year. This sounds like a great offering! Great pictures of your kids, too; hope school is going well for them so far this year.
